I’ve been out of contact with the Internet since the morning of the 31st, and encountered a bit of network hassle today. Everything seems to be working now, though, so, to catch up, here goes.

I stopped on the way in to the branding mentioned in my last post, in order to do this painting while the light was still good. Here is a painting of the view from Betsy’s back door looking out across the Valle Grande atop Rowe Mesa in North Eastern New Mexico:

I had a great time at the branding, met a bunch of nice folks, got a lot of good research for future paintings and some good stand-alone photographs, and a a lot of dust. Thanks George and Kimberley for inviting me.
