STORM BREAKING UP Daily Painting #580

I’m hitting the road! And you’re invited. Click Here to learn more.

Nope, haven’t quite hit the road yet, though I’ve been on it a lot. Hauling stuff from Santa Fe to Taos. Finished unloading the last big truck full today, then a quick drive back down to pick up Betsy and the Kelvinator, our GMC Safari van, both stuffed to the gills.

I need to make one more quick trip to pick up the last few items, take care of some details, and pick up panels at Artisans. Then back to Taos to finish packing and putting things away. A bit of recuperation, and it will be time, past time, to head to warmer climes.

This move has been a killer. I swear I’ve put on ten years. I feel like a thirty year old! Actually, I turned 71 today, the 4th. I swear the numbers got reversed somehow. Shouldn’t they read 17 instead?!? All kidding aside, I’m not bothered at all by turning 71. I’m prepared to face the beginning of middle age head on!

By the way, Betsy performed like a champ tonight on the drive up to Taos. Looks like she’s rarin’ to go. I know I am. And I hope you’ll all come along with us.

Today’s image is of the clouds breaking up on our drive yesterday:

This was the view from my studio window when we rented a house in Cuernavaca, Mexico for a month. Just to the right, the volcano Popocatépetl could be seen smoking away.
