PAINT HORSE, DUSK, EL PRADO Daily Painting #794

PAINT HORSE, DUSK, EL PRADO

Oil on Paper mounted on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

If you would like to own this painting, just email your bid to: bid@johnfarnsworth.com

At the end of the day, the sun slides gently below the horizon, colors soften, the birds begin to roost, the noises of the day go quiet, and a lone horse grazes in a pasture in El Prado, New Mexico.

Finally! I'm hitting the road again. My good friend, photographer Steve Immel and I leave Friday on a photo trip across the Southwest, from Taos through Navajo and Hopi Country, on to the Mohave Desert and, eventually , to Victorville, California, to spring Betsy from the hospital so I can resume my urban stealth and boondocking adventures. There'll be daily paintings, of course, and daily photographs, and with luck, more words than there have been here lately. So pour yourself a cup every morning and ride along with us.

  1. What a lovely painting! The warm, soft colors exude a truly undisturbed peacefulness; love the sky! What a treat to start this part of your adventures with a friend! I can’t wait to read your travel reports.
