Oil on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches
If you would like to own this painting, just send your bid in an email to: farnsworthgallery@newmex.com, or call Thea at 505 982-4561.
This oil painting is based on an earlier watercolor version, representing Sivu-i-quiltaqa Kachina, the Pot Carrier.
I've been really missing working in watercolor lately, even while having a great time doing these oils.
Depending on my upcoming travels, I may switch to watercolor for these daily paintings. First, I need to firm up my travel plans and get going. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, I hope you'll have a look at my newly reworked blog When a Painter Snaps…

JOHN – YOUR WATERCOLORS ARE THE BEST – I’M EXCITED YOUR GOING TO INCLUDE THEM. . .
IT WILL BE AN INTERESTING SERIES – DO SOME OF YOUR NEGATIVE SPACE PAINTINGS AND THOSE PLAYFUL IMAGES WITH PEN INK AND WATERCOLOR – AND OF COURSE THE MYSTIC OF THE UNLIMITED PALATE. . . THOSE THREE TUBES CHANGED MY ART. . . COME BY THE GALLERY BEFORE YOU LEAVE – WOULD LIKE TO SHOW YOU WHAT YOU STARTED. . .
First off, yea! for watercolors. You know I love the media. And I agree with Troy about the three magic tubes of paint. As for Pot Carrier here, he seems ready to dance. Is dancing part of the ritual for this Kachina?
