Oil on Paper Mounted on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

While teaching a workshop in Eymet, France in 2009, I had the pleasure, along with my students, of visiting the beautiful medieval village of Beynac, in the Perigord region of south west France, which rises 500 feet from the Dordogne River to the castle, Château Beynac. On the way up to the castle, I was taken by this lovely stone cottage, situated on the narrow, winding, cobbled path.

After painting it, and while putting this post together, I decided I'd better do a little research to make sure I had the name of the village and all the spelling right. That's when I came across the listing for the charming Le Petite Maison on Vacation Rentals by Owner. Check it out here http://www.vrbo.com/108748.

NOTE! I have a special new WORKSHOP coming up in July. Click HERE for details. I hope you can join us.

  1. The village does have beautiful colors. Color has played a very important role in life on this earth. Thank you for being gifted with art therapy and incorporating production of visual art for others to see and enjoy. Your paintings have always had special meaning for me.
