CHINLE WASH RUNNING SILVER / Daily Painting #973

Oil on Paper Mounted on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

Canyon de Chelly in North Eastern Arizona is a vast array of deep sandstone canyons, filled with cliff dwellings, petroglyphs, and the homes of Navajo People. It is a National Monument and well worth a visit, whether by motorized tour or, better yet, on horseback. Having visited many times, lived and worked in the vicinity, and spent weeks camping within the Canyon, teaching workshops, I can assure you that this is a magical, beautiful, history filled place.
