SHARK’S TOOTH / Daily Painting #975

Oil on Paper Mounted on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

When driving into Taos from Santa Fe, Taos Mountain looms on the horizon, and off to the left is this jagged rock outcropping, looming above the valley of the Rio Hondo. My good friends, Cousins Gari Smith and Kayce Verde refer to it as the Shark's Tooth. What's your pet name for it? Does anyone out there know its real name?

  1. It is really amazing the way beautiful scenery can be found and how you show it. Hope you do find out the mountain’s real name. I would like to know also.
