MM, RACER / Daily Painting #993

Oil on Paper Mounted on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

Today, my daily photograph is about age and rust and nostalgia, and so is this daily painting. While visitng the home of another friend and collector recently, I just couldn't pass up this cute little rusty antique race car, piloted by a famous mouse.

  1. This is so charmingly painted, John. I love the roundness of the shapes.
And, I know it is supposed to be rusty, but it looks like Chocolate to me!
    Yum.

  2. Wasn’t there a cartoon about this. Do you remember the name of the mouse? The only one I can remember is Mickey Mouse. I can see why it caught your eye. It is so cute.

  3. John I absolutely adore this painting…love the 3 dimensionality, the vintage feel, the curves, the colours, and I can tell it has lots of luscious texture. So great. As always.
