MOUSE / Daily Painting #996

Oil on Paper Mounted on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

I sat back in my office chair, and there was a found still life just begging to be painted. I grabbed my iPhone and captured some quick research shots. The contrast of the new, shiny, hard plastic mouse, so technologically iconic, contrasts narurally with the warm angular wood of the antique desk. The composition was exciting and with that red-orange scrolling wheel for an accent, the whole thing was simply irresistable.

  1. Looks like an antique on an antique to me. My mouse at the gallery has no tail and you do not even need one with your iPad or iPhone. Now for the important note… this is painted so beautifully. You have your true FARNSWORTH TOUCH showing up with this one.

  2. When I first worked on computers the only mouse we knew was one crawling on the floor. Really shows what progress does for you. Now I hold one in my hand every day. According to Thea I guess I am still behind times. You really made it stand out.
