SIPIKNE KACHINA / Daily Painting #1158

Sipikne is a Zuñi Kachina, but also appears in the Bean Dance on the Hopi First Mesa. He is a guard and carries a yucca whip and a bow and arrows.

HOW TO BID:

Bidding opens when a painting is posted and ends at midnight one week later (MST) Mountain Standard Time.

Highest wbid wins. In case of a tie for highest bid, the earliest wins. If payment is not made within 1 week, sale goes to second highest bidder. If you do not receive a confirmation, please call 505 982-4561 for assistance.

The winning bidder will be notified by email the following day.

Winning Paintings will be shipped as soon as the funds clear and the paint is dry. Wet paint can take up to two weeks to be safe for shipping.

If you're not 100% satisfied with your new painting, for any reason, send it back and we will send you a full refund along with a free box of chocolates!

  1. These Kachinas have a lot of hidden mysteries. Carrying a yucca whip and a bow and arrows mean, they are standing guard to ward off the evil spirits which could ruin the Bean Dance? I think the bird on his head with wings spread is there to help him keep order. The shadow behind him has to be an evil spirit. I may be way off base. The colors and shading really tells me a story.

  2. My computer got a bug in it. Got it back today. When turned it on it would show the pictures of the first page on the net and then this big window would take over. Had to take it to Computer Boy to get the bug out. Now it is running a lot better. If you get one get it taken care of before it completely black out the whole computer.
