NA-NGASOHU KACHINA / Daily Painting #1192

Na-ngasohu Kachina / Pen and Ink / Watercolor / 6 x 9 Inches

Na-ngasohu, the Chasing Star, or Planet Kachina should be sporting a Plains Indian headdress, but time and handling have reduced any feathers he might originally have had to a ball of fluff.

Other versions might be green or yellow with a black star. Each village, kiva, and even individual may vary the colors and markings.

Time for another Confection. I'm having a great time with these, and apparently so are many of you.

Be the first person in with a $100 bid, because the first hundred takes it!

  1. These Kachinas never stop. Do you know how many were actually made? Each one has it’s own meaning and special reason for being made. Really shows on each doll. Love looking and studying them.
