The Face of s Saint / Oil on Panel / 6 x 6 inches
Hmmm, this painting is based, loosely, on the face of a carved, polychromed antique Santo. But I can hardly resist thinking of it as a portrait of a young Oscar Wilde. Not exactly a Saint. What, or whom, do you see? At any rate, I thoroughly enjoyed pushing the paint around. If you know my work, you know I've spent most of my career covering my tracks, hiding and sublimating my brush strokes. I'm starting to feel like a painter!

Another very interesting step into the future. I can see the fun you are having and so delighted when you finish a painting and come dancing into dinner, revealing your own delight with the finished daily painting!
Loving this “lay it down and leave it” brush work! So sculptural, but still soft.
Dare I say it? I think that maybe painting on the iPad helped to loosen up your hand a bit. No?

The saying, “If there is goodness in your heart, it will come to your tongue”. It fits. The eyes showing a deep concern. This painting really has a message. Love the way you show it.
