Bouquet of Brushes / Oil on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

Ordinarily, it is weeks, months, even years before I paint something I’ve seen. I saw this bouquet of brushes in a black earthen jar today, while visiting galleries with my friend, collector Jay Olson. I couldn’t wait. I wanted to get down a quick study while it was fresh in my mind, in prepartion for a larger painting I’m considering doing.

To re-enter your bid, just copy farnsworthgallery@newmex.com and paste it into the “to” field in an email, make “bid” the subject, and be sure to include the name of the painting and your bid in the body of the email. I apologize for the inconvenience.

  1. Would like to know how many paintings were made with these brushes. They do show wear on them. Understand why these brushes have special meaning. Too bad they can’t talk and give us a history of what was created with them.
