Lone Saguaro / Ink and Watercolor / 7 x 10 Inches / Daily Painting #1415
Here's another one from the last day of summer. On our way out of Phoenix, on our way up the Beeline Highway toward Payson, we passed this Saguaro standing alone among the rocks and boulders.
In other places there were virtual thickets of Saguaros. I don't remember them being so thick in the past. But, then, there seem to be a lot of things I don't remember, lately.
Like what, you say? Hmmm, gee, I don't remember.

THANKS FOR REMEMBERING THE SAGUARO IN WATERCOLOR. . . THE COLOR IS RIGHT ON FOR THAT AREA.
KEEP A WET BRUSH !
I remember when I was there and visiting Grace. Went to Prescott and the Saguaros were dying all along the highway. The True Ship of the Desert. I hope they fight back and can start over again.
