I love this happy and doll-like saint. He is sublime.
VERY NICE – THE CONTRAST OF THE DARK ROBE AND HIS SKIN COLOR ARE STUNNING . . .
KEEP A WET BRUSH !
Thanks Troy.
This doll had to have been used as an attention getter to help keep children’s attention in religious rituals. His expression, big ear, big eyes, made me remember about the phrase, ‘Ears to hear and Eyes to see.” Do not know how and when this saying first started and why but it does fit.
Hmmm, that’s interesting. First time I heard it.
