These are the men in purple robes, signifying devotion and penitence, who carry the massive wooden floats depicting the stations of the cross throughout the city of Antigua in the hot sun and far into the night during Cuaresma, or Lent and Semana Santa, Easter Week.

This is the procession Jesus Nazareno from Santa Inés del Monte Pulciano entering the city around 2:30. It will leave the city at 9:pm or later to Santa Inés del Monte Pulciano.
