Part of the delay I'm experiencing is the experimenting and searching for the best materials to take with me for the sort of work I will be doing in my travels. This study in grays, for instance, is a found still life on a paper I found in Santa Fe, yesterday, at Artisans. It's a FLUiD Watercolor Block, 140 lb, Cold Press Finish.
It comes in a 6 x 6 inch block, glue bound on two edges. I like it. And it felt good working in that square format again. I also tried one on their Hot Press Finish block, but I'm not crazy about the result. I'll try them both again tomorrow. I have one more paper to try then it will be time to decide!
