JEFF OLIVER, ON THE HIGH ROAD TO TAOS

JEFF image-85C9974F0FBE-1.jpeg

That’s Jeff, my Grandson-in-law, husband of Emily, father of Brianna and baby Hazel, gone wild with his iPhone, shooting up a storm. I think I’ve met my match!

On a hot afternoon in Merida, Mexico, carriage drivers take a nap while waiting for the evening’s business to pick up.

Clyde

IMG_0110 2.JPGCliff Mortenson and his son Wyatt brought their year and a half old pet Buffalo (Bison), Clyde, to famous Cowboy Bill Manns’ Birthday Party at Bear Ranch. south of Santa Fe, on Sunday.

Clyde, having been raised like a family dog, was quite well behaved during the party, wandering slowly among the guests, sniffing around the chuck wagon and the great barbecue, or wandering unattended, yet never far from the crowd, happy to graze lazily among the grass and weeds.

Classical Gas

CLASSICAL GAS MUSEUM EMBUDO New Mexico IMG_0070 2.JPG

The Classical Gas Museum in Embudo, New Mexico. How many times have I hurried past? Someday, soon I hope, I’m going to stop, go in, take my time, and, maybe, get some good photographs.

My friend, photographer Steve Bundy, tells me it’s full of interesting old stuff.

Being a bit of old stuff myself, I expect I will thoroughly enjoy my visit.

I love shooting candid portraits, using available light, with my iPhone. This shot, however was taken with my Panasonic Lumix TZ-5, before I had an iPhone.

Meanwhile, over on Instagram, three days ago, I was honored to be chosen as “BnWButNot of the Week”, or Black and White But Not, for my candid sepia portrait of a Taos Pow Wow participant¬†on Instagram’s @bnwbutnot gallery, out of some 265 thousand plus images. I invite you to follow my Instagram feed, @johnfarnsworthphotographer on Instagram, or, if you prefer, on my website, johnfarnsworthphotographer.com/instagram

Unless otherwise noted, all my Instagram images are shot on an iPhone.
