HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween / Alpena, Missouri / iPhone 6s Plus / Snapseed

We stopped in Alpena on our way to West Plains, to visit our friends, Ann and Del Gibson, and took a walk to get the kinks out of our legs.

We ducked into a couple of junk shops, where I found this lovely hag for your Halloween pleasure!

TRADER

TRADER / Taos, New Mexico / iPhone 6s Plus / Snapseed

Cousin Ann Lawrence and I visited the Millicent Rogers Museum Fall for Antiques Show and Sale, where the dealers are often as colorful as their wares.

OLD TIMER

This western character was a spectator at Clint Mortenson's National Day of the Cowboy, south of Santa Fe, New Mexico. @SteveBundy, @SteveImmel and I recently enjoyed a day there, photographing and watching events like barrel racing, cowboy polo, sharpshooting, and horsemanship.

FORT WORTH / Daily Painting #1045

Watercolor / 5 x 7 Inches.

This is number twenty six in the popular new “Confections” series. I'm having a great time with these, and apparently so are many of you.

Be the first person in with a $100 bid, and it's yours! That's right. The first hundred takes it. Don't wait!

Send your bid in an email to: farnsworthgallery@newmex.com,

or call Thea at: 505 982-4561

Currently, I'm wrestling with just how I want to continue this blog. As you may know by now, I have really loved and thoroughly enjoyed the daily 6 x 6 inch paintings. And the recent Confections have really been a blast. But I am missing the chance to do more of these full-fledged watercolors. I would occasionlly like to work larger, too.

So. here's my thinking at the moment. I'm thinking I will switch from the current format of always doing the same size and the same begining bid, or, as has been the case with the Confections, one price fits all, regardless of size or complexity, to a more varied approach. One that fits not only my love of varied sibjects and styles, but differing sizes and mediums, as well.

I will be offering everything from tiny sketches to full sheet watercolors, to both smaller and larger oils, and just about everything in between. I hope it will be more entertaining than confusing, and that you will all continue to follow along.

By the way, I hope to be traveling again, soon, and will try to make my verbal input more interesting as my adventures unfold.

I hope you will all help me with this. I would love to hear your thoughts. I so appreciate each and every comment, as well as your bids! Please, don't be shy, join in. Let's make this blog as interesting as it can be, together.

SEDONA SLIM Daily Painting #884

SEDONA SLIM

Oil on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

If you would like to own this painting, just send your bid in an email to: farnsworthgallery@newmex.com, or call Thea at 505 982-4561.

Sedona Slim probably isn't from Sedona, at all. In fact, he's probably from Wickenburg. That's where I shot the research this character study is based on; at the Wickenburg Gold Rush Days Parade. But I painted him in Sedona, just steps from my old studio that I painted in for a time on my return from Mexico in 1973. And, somehow, the name, Sedona Slim, which came to me as I was painting, just seemed to fit.

Why Sedona? Because I stopped there for lunch and to do today's painting, on my way to meet my bride in Winslow, at the La Posada. She came in on the train from Lamy to join me for a week. Yippee!

Gotta go now!
