FRIDA’S BEDSIDE / Daily Painting #1216

Frida's Bedside / Watercolor and Ink / 6 x 9 inches

These pencils and brushes were on the nightstand next to Frida's bed. For some reason, they've been on my mind all day.

We left Mexico City today, and arrived right at sunset at Casa Laura. More about that, later. But, for now, a short post and a soft bed.

¡Hasta Mañana!

SKETCHER’S STILL LIFE Daily Painting #822

Oil on Panel / 6 x 6 Inches

Someone's sketching gear and a blue plastic water bottle between sets at Jennifer McChristian's life drawing session a couple of weeks ago in Los Feliz. Like everyday people, everyday objects are among my favorite subjects. But what isn't, eh?

Whew, a busy day today, paying bills, shopping, shooting a few photographs, and, of course, painting. Some rain this morning, rainlast night playing me to sleep by tapping gently on Betsy's roof.
