CONTRASTS / Chama, New Mexico / iPhone 6s Plus / Snapseed
I went up to Chama, New Mexico a couple of days ago, with my friend, photographer Steve Bundy and new friends Del and Paul Hollingsworth, to photograph fall colors and the trains of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. This beautiful 1920 Rolls Royce was one of several in town at the same time we were, and I was taken with the contrast of the white car and the black engine.
I encountered this Mountain Man re-enactor at the beginning of the annual Old Taos Trade Fair at the Hacienda de Los Martinez, here in Taos, New Mexico on a photo shoot with friend and fellow photographer Steven Bundy.
This western character was a spectator at Clint Mortenson's National Day of the Cowboy, south of Santa Fe, New Mexico. @SteveBundy, @SteveImmel and I recently enjoyed a day there, photographing and watching events like barrel racing, cowboy polo, sharpshooting, and horsemanship.
A lone house sits near the Rio Grande Gorge, southeast of Taos, New Mexico. I shot this with, my iPhone, through the car window, as “the Dudes” Steve Immel, Steve Bundy and I were speeding by on our way to Española to photograph a Lowrider Car Show, yesterday. More on that, later.
Abandoned church, Holman, New Mexico.
In a typical northern New Mexico scene, three elk skulls decorate a large, patched together storage shed.
More Taos street photography.
I find that if you can see the beauty in weeds, you get to see a lot more beauty in your life.
