EL MEZE SUNSET

We had an excellent dinner last night, at El Mèze restaurant, with our dear friends from Chicago, Charles and Jeanette White. After dinner, on our way back to the car, I turned around and saw this. Once again I was fortunate to have the camera I can occasionally talk on, in my shirt pocket. Out it came, and here you see the result! I hope you enjoy!

JEMEZ MOUNTAINS SUNSET

We drove a couple of new Kachina paintings down to the Sorrel Sky Gallery in Santa Fe today for their Indian Market show . On the drive back to Taos, we were treated to this beautiful sunset over the Jemez Mountains.

SUNSET OVER TRES OREJAS

As seen from our daughter Kimberley's house on Friday evening.

TAOS DINNER TIME

We had a lovely dinner with daughter Rosa and her guy, John last night.

ANOTHER TAOS SUNSET

The sun goes down, lights come on, another day in Taos drifts into night.

NIGHTFALL

This was the view from my office window, Friday evening.

More tomorrow…

PUERTO VALLARTA 7:11 am

PUERTO VALLARTA 7:11 am / iPhone 6s Plus

The view from my window yesterday morning. I'm still working on the surprise, believe me. If I ever get it done, it will be a surprise, for sure.

And here's tonight's sunset view from the balcony, at 7:14 pm. Meanwhile, you'll just have to excuse me, the conversation is getting interesting, and I wouldn't want to miss a single tall tale, nor a chance to tell one or two of my own. Stories are flying around this Airbnb from all around the world!

Hasta mañana.

CASA LAURA SUNSET / Daily Painting #1218

Casa Laura Sunset / Watercolor and Ink / 6 x 9 inches

This was the view from the terrace of Casa Laura this evening. Sort of.

We spent today checking out the town, getting our bearings, changing some cash, and stocking up on groceries at the giant, well stocked Mega superstore.

Lunch among the expats at the cafe inside the Biblioteca, The English language library. Felt a lot like Dallas

Kay and Charles, our dear, long time friends formerly from Taos, now from San Miguel, joined us for the evening. We all had a great time catching up while watching the sunset, then ordered pizza for dinner.

All in all not a very Mexican day, but it wasn't cold! And getting together with old friends was really great.

¡Hasta Mañana!
