Follow along, see what I see, as I travel with my iCamera in Mexico and beyond.
I will be traveling light, moving slow, planning as little as possible.
Mostly street photography, but anything else that catches my eye.
I caught this bit of street photography while passing quickly through Santa Fe, yesterday, on my way to Mexico!
Stopped briefly in Charleston, Missouri for a walk, and came across this closed movie theater. Love those doors! Note the slightly askew marquee.
We encountered this found still life tableau in North East Arkansas during a pit stop on the way to visit our long time friends Ann and Del Gibson in Missouri.
My cousin from Maryland, Larry Hill, is treating his grand daughter Ivy to a tour of the Southwest between her high school graduation and the beginning of electrical engineering studies at Penn State.
Ivy has been enjoying her visit to Santa Fe and Taos, including Spanish Market, Santa Fe Opera tour, Taos Pueblo, and riding with our daughter Kimberley, who says she was an excellent student and a natural horsewoman.
That winning smile never waned during their three days in Taos. They are now on their way to Monument Valley, to be followed by Canyon de Chelly, Hopi country, the Grand Canyon, Sedona and more.
Street photography from my recent travels in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México.
I never tire of these Southwest skies.
When I saw these two girls standing, tired from shopping, in front of this wall, I knew I had an idea for a mini-theme, images in color, with black and white elements.
Then I remembered this shot from earlier,
I went looking through my recent street photography from here in Guadalajara and found a few more that could fit the into the series.
Again with the gowns. I happened to walk through the neighborhood where gowns are sold. Who could resist?
Lupita's Cantina, just down the street from my hotel, seems to have beeten me to the punch with this take on the famous Frida…
Then there's my favorite. The one I almost missed. So much color, and yet such extreme black and white!
I hope you enjoyed these. I will be looking for more.
I went for a walk today, and this is some of what I saw:
A boat-tail grackle taking off,
Some pretty yellow flowers,
An abandoned house,
Palm fronds in the sand,
A couple of piglets,
And a dog that looked like I felt!
All were shot with my iPhone 6s Plus, and processed in Snapseed.
Oh, and I got a bunch more street shots. But I'll save those for another day.
I finally bade farewell to my new friends, Sam and Giselèle, George and Liz, Guillermo and Guillermo Junior, and left Puerto Vallarta this afternoon on the twelve thirty bus. Got to San Blas in time to get a room, check my email, and head out to get in a bit of street photography like this black and white shot,

and this one, in color, of a family outing.

When it got too dark to photograph, I went for a delicious fish dinner, then back to my room to organize the day's photos, and to put together this blog post and share it with you.
