We, Thea and I, decided to take it easy today. We stayed home, rested, took care of some business, rested, ate left overs, then, well rested, went with our friends to something called Fabricas de Aurora. An old industrial complex that has been turned into beautiful studios and gallery spaces. It is huge, and it was crowded. We only had time to take in about half of it, but hope to return when it's not opening night, and see if we can learn more about it.

We saw a lot of antiques there, and art, and the thing that caught my eye, screaming to be painted, was this half-eaten hamburger on the office desk in one of the gallery spaces. Someone must have had to jump up and take care of a collector.

Next, we went to HECHO IN MEXICO, a jam-packed restaurant for a drink and a very nice dinner, and now we are back in Casa Laura getting ready for an early start for tomorrow's adventures.

¡Hasta Mañana!

  1. Fun painting John! I loved the linen factory in San Miguel…. the house we rented when we were there a few years ago was located on the hill above it… what a terrific city! Good time wishes to you and Thea!

  2. You guys are having such a good time! So glad. I would love to see the sights you are living in right now! Sounds great.
Hamburger is a touch of home. I like the touch of the packets of condiment!
