Cruz Valerio, born in what is now our house, was delighted to know he could continue farming our milpa, or corn field, as he had done since childhood. In exchange, Thea askrd only for a share of any “chocolate corn” he might raise. We did receive, instead, an annual supply of chicos (pit roasted, dried corn. Cruz and his wife Rosabelle have become our dear friends and good neighbors

Winning Paintings will be shipped as soon as the funds clear and the paint is dry. Wet paint can take up to two weeks to be safe for shipping.
